Funding for Student Travel to CUNY 2005

Limited funds are available to assist undergraduate and graduate students in traveling to the 2005 CUNY Sentence Processing Conference. Priority will be given to students who will be presenting talks or posters at the conference. To be considered for funding, submit an application to cuny2005@mail.sbs.arizona.edu with the following information by March 1 st, 2005. Please send your application as text (for example, in email body) or pdf.

  • Name, mailing address, email address and telephone number.
  • Name of the institution you are attending, as well as the name of your department and/or degree program.
  • Title of submitted abstract, if applicable (whether or not it was accepted).
  • A detailed budget request (including your planned means of travel, your departure city and state or country, expected hotel costs, registration cost, other sources of funding for which you have applied, and funds which have been committed to you for your trip).
  • When preparing your budget, please note that you can request to stay with a University of Arizona graduate student or faculty member for free; see the main CUNY 2005 web page for information on how to apply for this. (Housing arrangements must be made separately from this funding request.)
  • You may supplement the application with a letter detailing any special circumstances relating to your request for funding.
